Exposing Visual Perceptions
Don't design to fit in, design to stand out!

Color vision deficiency is a largely genetic disease that affects 1 in 12 men and 1 in 200 women worldwide.

Even though it is not life threatening, "it affects and impacts consumer emotions, enjoyment, efficiency an safety-related aspects of shopping, product use and advertising comprehension."

There has been a virtual explosion of the presence and reliability of color in design. But, there is a lack of awareness that some consumers remain limited in the ability to access market information due to many colors being partially or totally imperceptible causing consumer information to not be processed or perceived in ways traditionally expected.

So don't let your designs slowly fall, take this advice and design for all!

Exposing Visual Perceptions
IT’S YOUR STORY
OUR VISION
It is Sans Chroma's vision to make designers more aware of the quality of life and ways in which CVD affect the ways individuals perceive and understand consumer information, and how design can be adjusted and altered in small ways to make it more accessible to the color deficient.
To provide designers and others with an all in one resource for all their color vision deficient design needs including: proper background information over the color vision deficiencies, the different resources to use to better their designs, and a community that shares and individuals to communicate tips, resources, articles, findings, etc. that relate to CVD.
